The 3rd has always had a drum and bugle band. and we are one of the few traditional bands left in the London District. Having been a boys only band for some time, we’ve recently moved to being a joint band with our Girl’s Brigade company.
Band practice is on a Monday evening from 8.00pm – 9.00pm. Time is spent practicing individually as well as a whole band.
As well as leading our monthly parades services and the annual Battalion parade, the band takes part in the London District competitions.
Some members of the band also take part in the London District Bugle Band. This was originally formed for the Brigade Centenary in 1983 and performs regularly in the Lord Mayor’s show each year.
